This book was published in the context of the exhibition titled “(to the stones) we lent you our breath, and you whispered it back to the earth” at the Cyprus Pavilion at the 19th international architecture exhibition La Biennale di Venezia 2025. It brings together a collection of writings that tend to the politics of the land and the commons of those inhabiting it, through tracing the rhythms of drystone building practices, an ancient communal practice of building without binding mortar. More than aiming to answer questions, this publication seeks to offer a collage of thoughts which extend beyond the boundaries of hegemonic architecture, allowing it to leak back into the realities that surround us.

Τούντο βιβλίο εκδόθηκε στα πλαίσια της έκθεσης «(στες πέτρες) εδώκαμεν σας την αναπνοή μας τζ̆αι εψιθυρίσετε την πίσω στο χώμα», που επαρουσιάστηκε στο Κυπριακό Περίπτερο στη Βενετία, στα πλαίσια της 19ης Διεθνούς Μπιενάλε Αρχιτεκτονικής 2025. Η έκθεση επιδιώκει να ασχοληθεί με την πολιτική της γης τζ̆αι τα κοινά των ανθρώπων που την κατοικούν, μέσα που την ανίχνευση των ρυθμών του χτισίματος δόμων, μιας αρχαίας κοινοτικής πρακτικής δόμησης που πέτρα, χωρίς συνδετικόν υλικόν. 

Bu kitap, 2025’teki 19. Uluslararası Mimarlık Bienali’nin Kıbrıs Pavyonu’nda yer alan “(taşlara) size nefesimizi verdik, siz da onu geri toprağa fısıldadınız” sergisi kapsamında yayımlandı. Sergi, kadim bir toplumsal uygulama olan ve herhangi bir bağlayıcı harç kullanmadan yapılan kuru taş inşaat uygulamalarının ritimlerini izleyerek, topraknan müştereklerin ve üzerinde yaşayanların politikalarını ele alır.
