The Museum of the falling daughter
The Museum of the Falling Daughter is a performance that proposes a feminist reading of the Majestic Gallery through an interdisciplinary entanglement of choreography and text. The dramaturgical score re-imagines the museum as a domestic space and explores the representations of mothers, daughters and fathers in national and patriarchal imaginings. It seeks to question familiar bonds, and how they reflect national and patriarchal structures. What inhabits the museum? What are its sounds and family albums? A new museum narrative is superimposed on the present, one which is told from the top floor to the ground floor, whispered from behind paintings and closed doors.
Το Museum of the Falling Daughter είναι μια παράσταση που προτείνει μια φεμινιστική ανάγνωση της κρατικής πινακοθήκης μέσα που τον συνδιασμό χορογραφίας τζαι γραπτού λόγου. Η παράσταση επαναπροσδιορίζει το μουσείο ως έναν οικιακό χώρο τζαι διερευνά τις αναπαραστάσεις των μητέρων, των κορών τζαι των πατέρων στις εθνικές τζαι πατριαρχικές φαντασιώσεις. Επιδιώκει να αντικρούσει τους οικογενειακούς δεσμούς τζαι το πώς αντανακλούνται στες εθνικές τζαι πατριαρχικές δομές. Τι κατοικεί το μουσείο; Αν το μουσείο ήταν σπίτι πκιοι εν να’ ταν οι ήχοι του τζαι πκοια τα οικογενειακά του άλμπουμ; Που τον τελευταίο όροφο ως το ισόγειο, μια νέα μουσειακή αφήγηση ξαναγράφεται πάνω στην παρούσα τζαι ψιθυρίζεται πίσω που πίνακες τζαι κλειστές πόρτες.
